Marko Rillo
Team Leader

Marko Rillo comes from Tallinn, Estonia where he manages his consulting firm and delivers regularly lectures on strategic management and organization theories at Tallinn University of Technology. He has worked managed various projects as a management consultant in telecommunications, banking, IT and public sector. In addition to his native country he has worked in Bulgaria, Croatia, Finland, Latvia, Netherlands and Romania. He is at the final stage of his PhD dissertation at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.

Simon Johnston
Deputy Team Leader

He is from Belfast, Northern Ireland, where he worked for the Industrial Development Board on Small and Medium Enterprises – SME, and foreign direct investment matters, and on fair employment issues. Mr. Johnston was seconded by the UK government as a national expert to the Directorate General for Regional Policies in the European Commission before coming to Central and Eastern Europe in the mid 1990s where he has worked extensively on regional development and EU accession related projects, most recently in Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia. He studied economics at the City University in London and did his masters degrees in business and economics at the Florida Institute of Technology where he also was an adjunct faculty member.

Shenoll Muharremi
Senior Adviser

He has contributed towards the establishment, development and consolidation of the EU Regional Economic Development (EURED) process in Kosovo since the very beginning. Mr. Muharremi has held several senior positions as a European integration, economic development and good governance expert/adviser in the national and international organisations as well as several think tanks. He served as Head of the Kosovo Agency of European Integration; Political Adviser to the Prime Minister of Kosovo as well as consultant to several ministries and municipalities for implementation of Standards for Kosovo process. Shenoll Muharremi is an EU enlargement policy postgraduate scholar from the University of Sussex – European Institute, has a degree in Political Science/International Relations and European integration and history from the American University in Bulgaria as well as attended university studies in economic development in the University Prishtina. Mr. Muharremi has participated and lectured into numerous high level international conferences and seminars.

Isamet Bakiu
Project Manager

A high output administrator with well-honed artistic, linguistic and organisational skills, with a record of success in a range of public and private sector organizations. Extensive experience in the timely delivery of tasks and operating in high pressure environments. Work experience with a wide range of organisations, including international ones, voluntary work and family background itself has developed all communication skills, enabling effective interaction with people from a very wide range of backgrounds and experiences.

Arlinda Maloku
Project Coordinator
Arlinda Maloku is EURED’s resident “octopus”, and the person who welcomes our visitors. Besides thousands of tasks in reception and over the phone, she assists in coordination with all RDA’s and other relevant/important actors for the EURED Process. 
Arlinda previously worked in the world of Diplomatic Affairs and Culture. Arlinda holds a BA Degree in Sociology and MSc in Sociology of Migration,Ethnic Studies and Diplomacy.

Maria Doiciu
Fund Adviser
She is responsible for technical asistance of the potential applicants and beneficiaries of the EURED Grant scheme in Kosovo. Mrs. Doiciu has 15 years experience in management and consulting in the area of access to finance, business development and microfinance in different donor funded projects in Romania, Central and Eastern Europe, and Central Asia. Mrs.Doiciu’s professional commitment to the sustainable private sector development of countries in Eastern and Central Europe is affirmed by her service on the board of administration of the European Microfinance Network where she is a vice-president in charge of Central and Eastern Europe since 2007. She holds a Master degree in engineering from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, Romania and a Master of Business Administration from the Durham University, United Kingdom.

Ane Sindik
Regional Economic Development Adviser

She holds a Master degree in economics with focus on regional competitiveness.
Mrs. Sindik has over 10 years experience in EU regional development projects.
She is familiar with functioning regional development agencies all around Europe, especially in South East Europe. Her expertise consists in setting up and monitoring the Regional Development Agencies and Entrepreneurial Centers in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
